Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Vantage. By using the app you agree to them, so please read them.
1. Who we are
Vantage is operated by Charles Timms Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 13477921, registered office The Old Station, Station Road, North Kilworth, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17 6HY. You can reach us at realthyme1@gmail.com.
2. What Vantage does
Vantage is a personal net worth tracker. It lets you record accounts and assets manually, import them from a file, and — where supported — connect a bank or investment account so balances update automatically. It gives you a single view of what you own and what you owe.
Vantage is not financial advice. We do not provide investment, tax, or financial advice, and nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. Figures shown are for information only. If you need advice, speak to a qualified financial adviser.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 and capable of entering into a binding contract.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account.
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Connecting a bank account
Bank connections are provided through TrueLayer Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as an Account Information Service Provider. TrueLayer performs the regulated account information service on your instruction.
You give explicit consent before any connection is made, and you can withdraw it at any time in the app or directly with your bank. Open banking rules require you to re-authenticate at least every 90 days. We only request the permissions we need to show your balances and to reconstruct the balance history behind your chart. Where we read past transactions to do that, we keep only the daily balances derived from them and not the transactions themselves.
5. Accuracy of information
Balances shown in Vantage come from you or from your providers. We present that information as we receive it and cannot guarantee it is complete, current, or free from error — a provider may be unavailable, may return stale data, or may change how it reports. Always treat your bank or provider as the authoritative source before making a financial decision.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use Vantage unlawfully or fraudulently; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's data; interfere with or disrupt the service; reverse engineer the app except where the law permits; or use automated means to extract data from the service.
7. Subscriptions and payment
Vantage may offer paid features. Where it does, prices and billing periods are shown before you buy, and purchases are processed by Apple under the App Store's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy.
The Vantage app itself is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms govern the Vantage service; that agreement governs your licence to use the app. Where the two conflict on the licence itself, Apple's agreement applies.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Vantage available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or to address a security issue, and we may change or discontinue features. Where a change is significant and we can reasonably give notice, we will.
9. Intellectual property
We own the Vantage app, its name, design, and content, except for material you enter. You keep ownership of the information you put into the app, and you grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you.
10. Ending your use of Vantage
You can stop using Vantage and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, or if we are required to by law. When your account is deleted we handle your data as set out in our Privacy Policy.
11. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for financial losses arising from decisions you make based on information in the app, for loss of profit or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us during that period, or £100.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give you reasonable notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Vantage after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
14. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email realthyme1@gmail.com and we will respond as quickly as we can. Complaints about a regulated open banking service may also be raised with TrueLayer, and ultimately with the Financial Ombudsman Service.
